Relics and Aegis

I know that both of these items are equippable but I can never tell the difference between relics and aegis so would someone care to enlighten me? I'm clueless about it.

In the online game.
Aegis are the slots where you put your dream creatures in to summon during battle.
Relics are Items you equip. You need to keep them in the bag to use them during battle.

Sorry, but that didn't really help. Sometimes monsters drops aegis and they look like relics to me....wait...your aegis only have 5 slots right?...Or is there more?

no, relics are the things monsters drop that you can equip.
aegis, are the slots where you put your dream creatures in.
they're totally different.

aegis are slots
relics are items

there are also twenty aegis slots. five four every region to put your dream creatures in.

Eh forget I even asked. Sometimes when I beat a dream creatures it would say aegis aquired and then a drop and other times it would say relics aquired and then a drop. Gremelin I guess...

i think relics are things that you can equip and you can also see it on your character but aegis you cannot the only aegis items are rings and staffs and pouches i think that fit in the top slot.
